About Robert Thompson.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, I performed with various artists in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Zion-I and the Hot Club of San Francisco.
CD appearances include Chris Opperman’s Klavierstücke, the Hot Club of San Francisco’s Be That Way, and a single track with Zion-I. Performances at the San Francisco Jazz Festival.
From 2003 to 2006 I toured with Cirque du Soleil’s Dralion in North America and Europe as the soloing violinist for about 1,000 shows. Traveled and performed in 15 countries. Throughout the tour, I recorded for numerous television broadcasts, including the Big Brother finale live in Mexico City and for an appearance on Canada’s Musique Plus television station.
In January 2007, I collaborated with Philip Greenspun with the Water Buffalo Movie, where we donated a water buffalo to a family in need.
I currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
