Dining Etiquette in China

Dining Etiquette in China

This is a table that is being set. We were eating on a farmer’s ranch. The food is shared and communal with no serving spoon. The two little cups next to each other are for “bai jiu”, a vodka-like drink. The paper cups are for tea. The tea leaves are just at the bottom of the cup. There are no cloth napkins in China, you use a “Kleenex” like box, picture on the lower left. Let the host move the lazy-susan. If you want to move it, make sure no one is taking any food.
