Music Clip #1

Listen

It’s about 4% finished, but I thought I just put a post up. Just as a note, it’s all original, meaning, I “hand made” the beat (and didn’t copy a loop or sample.) I know what you’re thinking, ‘Damn, this is fu**** awesome!’, I agree, thanks, there will be more later.

Okay it’s 3:30am I gotta sleep now.

CXH2 Video

Contains the word “sh*t” in case there are little ones around.

Another great video by Bob. If anyone wants a tutorial on how to make fast, homemade, low budget (and low quality) movies, I’d be more than happy to show you.

Attic Fan

attic.gifI just heard on KGO that if you install an electric attic fan it can 1) cool your house by about 10° and 2) “save your roof”. I know you have vents, but their point electric fans on a thermostat.

Would this help with the power bill at Knowland? I remember the upper half of Knowland (or, the 1979 add-on to the house) was always warmer than the cool lower half.

Perhaps this doesn’t apply to anyone since you never use air conditioning. They’re talking about this on KGO because, I guess it’s pretty hot in the Bay right now (just heard, right now, it is 85° in Oakland.)

Eat Good Meat

feifei.jpgVIEW MOVIE [????] 3min, 16mb, video doesn’t load?

Am I a machine or what? Am I not the FLV poster boy? Another day in the life of Bob, as we went about 100 KM (in the mountains, no less) just to go to the best place to eat meat for lunch. It’s true, all the dishes were meat and I have to say, it was pretty damn good. Like thin slices of beef BBQ.

The latest blockbuster is 700 video, 550×286px, 128 kpbs (because of the soundtrack, gotta love it), and 24 FPS. 3:03 min. Enjoy.

In other news…

There was an earthquake in Yunnan today that killed 18 20 people (rock slides). The epicenter was about a five-hour drive from where this video was shot. (However, there were two places on the on the road today that were 1/2 covered with apparent rock slides.)

Today, they started tearing down various walls in our house. As you may know, we’re adding a third floor (you remember that old video of the model house, and I subtitled “Bob’s Media Room”? We’re now building that room.) Tomorrow, we need to accompany the contractor to get the supplies for the floor. We’re also installing a sliding glass door for this room, and the upcoming projects are: destroying all the stairs in the house and making them more narrow and blowing out the wall in our master bedroom to put in a glass wall for the master bath.

Day in the Life

dayinthelife200.jpgVIEW MOVIE [????] 22.5 MB, pop-up

Looks like Tom’s right. Keep it at around 700 Video quality. I exported five different movies, from 1024 to 400 kbps Video, 128 mp3 to 40 mp3, 24 FPS to 15 FPS, and different movie dimensions.

The best combination so far is:

700 kbps Video Quality - 128 MP3 - 24 FPS - 400-550 px wide by whatever high.

With this ratio, a 4 minute movie is around 22 megs — nothing. (For the next video I’m going to try 500+ wide.)

Don’t forget to turn off your pop-up blocker software. And excuse the ’surprise’ typo… (doh!)
