Regarding my near completion of this final project and graduation from Berklee…
So I thought I saved the easy solos for last. The last two solos are Evan Price and Stuff Smith. Was I wrong. Evan Price (violinist you all know from the Turtle Island String Quartet and the Hot Club) has this thing about playing real smooth, easy, laid back ideas, but it’s the most difficult shit to transcribe. I don’t have words to describe it, other than the fact that both of my hands are sore from trying to play his imaginative ideas.
I’m graduating on June 17, 2006. Race ya!
